◆Overview
National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City, President: Hiroshi Makino) held a nickname review workshop on November 15, 2022 in connection with the
recruitment of nicknames for the co-education co-creation commons scheduled to be completed in December. was held at the Tsushima Campus of the university.
　23 students from the Faculty of Engineering, architecture students, members of the DS Club, and SDGs Ambassador students participated. At the beginning, President Hiroshi Makino expressed his thoughts on the co-education co-creation commons. Mr. Kengo Kuma, an architect and specially invited professor of Okayama University, supervised the building.

President Makino talks about his thoughts on “co-education co-creation commons” Next, Executive Director Masanobu Abe said that he is looking for nicknames so that students and local residents can use them with a sense of familiarity (Note 1). There was an explanation that since the thoughts of the people who were involved will be shown, I would like you to think of a nickname after considering the background. At the beginning of the workshop, the students who participated expanded their image of the construction scene of the co-education co-creation commons with the time-lapse photo video “Time-Lapse Photography No.1 Prelude” using a fixed point camera and the exhibited model (Note 2). After that, they were divided into groups and actively exchanged ideas. President Makino and Executive Vice President Abe participated in the discussion by visiting each group.
At the end, each group announced their nicknames and the thoughts they put into them. President Makino thanked the participating students for considering the nickname while thinking about “why is it possible to build a co-education co-creation commons of wooden architecture at Okayama University now?” There was a comment that I would like to have it.
