〇 “Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications press release materials” Ambulance crews at the forefront of critical care are always at risk of infection with the new coronavirus, and it is important to reduce exposure to aerosols and droplets from patients during emergency transportation. This time, we have developed a shield suitable for emergency transportation of patients with new coronavirus infections. The shield is made of a soft and light material and can be folded and stored inside the ambulance. In addition, it was found that attaching a suction mechanism to the shield was effective in reducing exposure to aerosols, and the results were published in the American intensive care magazine Critical Care. In the 3rd year of Reiwa, we improved the shield and evaluated its social implementation, launched it on February 14, and completed its commercialization.
