[Survey report] What do people with sensitive skin value when choosing foundation? “Additive-free” is the result of the first place!

Summary of survey results
When we conducted a questionnaire to find out what people with sensitive skin valued when choosing foundation, the number one was “additive-free”.

“Additive-free” came in first place.
After the 2nd place, “Moisturizing/beauty essence ingredient combination” and “Can be removed with soap” followed, and “Mineral foundation” came in 6th place.
1st place: additive-free
・This is because additive-free products that do not contain
ingredients that irritate the skin as much as possible can be used safely by people with sensitive skin. (Female in her 20s)
・I have sensitive skin, so I want to use products that are less irritating and of good quality. (Female in her 40s)
・People with sensitive skin tend to react to the ingredients in the formula, so I think it’s safer to use an additive-free formula because it’s made with ingredients that are less irritating to the skin. (Female in her 40s)
The first place was “additive-free”.
There are many opinions that people with weak skin want to choose additive-free products that do not contain extra ingredients. No. 2: Contains moisturizing and serum ingredients
・Because of dry skin, without moisturizing ingredients, it will dry out and the foundation will fall off easily. Therefore, I often choose a liquid foundation with high moisturizing ingredients or a cushion foundation. (Female in her 20s)
・Since I have dry skin, the foundation on my cheeks tends to float, so I added moisturizing ingredients to prevent the foundation from floating. (Female in her 20s)
・I have sensitive skin and my skin is very dry. (Female in her 40s) The 2nd place is “moisturizing / serum ingredient combination”. Many people with weak skin have dry skin, and there was an opinion that it would be nice if it contained moisturizing ingredients. 3rd place: Can be removed with soap
・Since you can reduce the use of unnecessary things and friction during cleansing, you can use it with peace of mind by removing it with a gentle soap. (Female in her 30s)
・Because the skin is weak, I try not to rub the skin as much as possible. Cleansing oil will inevitably rub your skin, so if you can remove it with just soap bubbles, it’s better. (Female in her 40s) The reason is that I can only use soap because my skin is weak. Soap is also a special soap that suits your skin. More to the point, it would be helpful if you could remove it with just water. (Male in his 40s)
4th: High UV effect
・Because the age is the year, focus on things with high UV protection, such as sunscreen. I don’t want any more spots or freckles. (Female in her 30s)
・Since it is vulnerable to UV rays, I often choose a foundation that is not too thick and has a sunscreen effect. I’m happy that I don’t need underwear. (Female in her 20s)
・I use a makeup base that has a UV effect, but if I use a foundation that has a low UV effect, I get sunburnt, so I will focus on a foundation with a high UV effect. to (Male, 20s)
5th: Good coverage
・Base, foundation, concealer, and when it comes to the eyes, there are more things to apply in two layers, and the burden on the skin is heavy, so it is better to reduce the number of processes by using one foundation as much as possible. (Female in her 30s)
・If you have good coverage, you don’t have to layer multiple layers of concealer, cover base, face powder, etc. The number of times you need to retouch your makeup is reduced, and the burden on your skin is light. (Female in her 40s)
・If it has coverage, you don’t have to apply it over and over again to cover it up. (Female in her 30s)
6th place: Mineral foundation
・I have sensitive skin, and if I apply a foundation that doesn’t suit my skin, it quickly becomes irritated. (Female in her 30s)
・If you have sensitive skin, using skin care products or cosmetics that do not suit your skin may cause itching or pimples. Therefore, I think it is better to use a mineral foundation that is gentle on the skin. (Female in her 30s)
・If you have sensitive skin, just putting it on your skin can irritate it. (Female in her 20s)
6th place was the result of “Mineral foundation”.
There was an opinion that a foundation with mineral ingredients that is safe to wear all the time is good.

When we conducted a questionnaire to 100 people, 43.0% of the total answered “additive-free.”
In addition, as reasons for responding, there were many opinions that it is better to use products that do not contain extra ingredients because the skin is weak, and that it is better to use ingredients that are gentle on the skin.
Many people with sensitive skin want to choose foundations that are made with ingredients that are as light on the skin as possible. Please use this as a reference when choosing a foundation for people with sensitive skin.
