The first place was “low stimulus / additive free”.
After the 2nd place, “Can be removed with soap” and “Mineral foundation” followed, and “High UV effect” came in 5th place. 1st place: Hypoallergenic, additive-free
・I use HANA’s organic foundation, but I don’t think it will have that much of an adverse effect if a baby touches it or licks it. (Female in her 20s)
・Since I have sensitive skin, I often choose hypoallergenic or additive-free products. I think that babies’ skin is still thin and the barrier function is weak, so I thought it would be better to use something that is less irritating. (Female in her 40s)
・Because I wanted to choose a foundation that would not affect the baby as much as possible and would not put a burden on the baby. (Female in her 20s)
The first place was “low stimulus / additive free”.
There are many opinions that we want to use materials that are mild and safe so that the baby’s skin does not get rough.
2nd place: can be removed with soap
・I think it’s good to use a foundation with gentle ingredients that can be removed with soap. If you don’t need makeup remover, you don’t have to worry if it gets on your baby’s skin. (Female in her 30s) ・Many foundations that can be removed with soap are made of
ingredients that are gentle on the skin, so even if they get on your baby, they can be easily removed. Also, when raising a small child, it is easy for moms because they don’t have time to put on and remove makeup. (Female in her 20s)
・Even if a baby touches it, anything that can be washed off with soap can be washed off after taking a bath, so I thought it would be safe. I don’t think the coverage is very strong if it can be removed with soap, so I wondered if it would have that much of an effect on babies’ sensitive skin. I think it’s easy to wash away when you put it in your mouth. So I chose it. After that, it’s hard to take a bath with a child, so the burden will be reduced. (Female in her 30s)
2nd place: Mineral foundation
・Since it does not use chemical ingredients, it is safe to lick it. It is also hypoallergenic for Aki-chan’s skin and does not cause inflammation. You can wash it off with soap. (Female in her 30s) ・Because minerals are ingredients that make up the body, just being listed as “mineral foundation” leads to the image of being
hypoallergenic and additive-free. (Female in her 40s)
・Because it can be removed without special cleansers such as cleansers, even if it touches a baby, it can be easily removed. (Female in her 30s)
The second place was “Removable with soap” and “Mineral foundation”. It seems that many people prefer mineral foundations that do not use chemical ingredients, and that it is safe if they can be removed with soap.
4th: Not sticky
・If it is sticky, the foundation will transfer color to your hands when you touch it, and you will have to wash it each time. (Female in her 40s)
・I’m most worried about stickiness and sticking to my child’s clothes and face. Also, I want to keep my comfort. (Female in her 20s) ・Since babies always touch each other skin-to-skin and stick cheeks together, if it gets sticky, it feels like it will transfer to the baby, so it is better to use a smooth foundation. (Female in her 30s) 5th place: High UV effect
・Because we should focus on performance that can prevent damage from ultraviolet rays as much as possible. (Male, 20s)
“High UV effect” was ranked 5th.
There was a reason I wanted to protect it from UV rays.
summary
When we conducted a questionnaire to 100 people, 78.0% of the total answered that it was “low stimulus/additive-free”.
Also, as reasons for responding, there were many opinions that it would be nice to have something that can be relieved even if it touched the baby, and that they wanted to choose something that would be as light as possible for the baby.
I want to use something that I can feel safe even when my baby touches or licks it.
If you have a baby, why don’t you refer to it?
