[Collaboration project with ingredients from Fukushima Prefecture! ] An event using Fukushima ingredients will be held at the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries cafeteria “Afu Shokudo” and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare “Shoen Shokudo” (only Shoen Shokudo is not open to the general public).
About 10 years have passed since the Great East Japan Earthquake, and the agricultural and livestock industries in Fukushima are making steady progress since that unprecedented disaster. With the slogan of “challenge,” Fukushima Prefecture is taking on new challenges to develop a “primary industry” using robots and advanced technology, in order to create a new agricultural and livestock industry.
The agricultural and livestock products that have taken on such a challenge are the products for this event: “Rokuyama Kogen Pork”, “Love Shiitake Mushrooms”, and “Nakata Nouen no Negi”.
This time, we decided to hold this event from the perspective of wanting cafeteria users to know about these efforts through “food” and from the desire to support “Fukushima’s recovery.”

“Rokuyama Kougen Pork” is a meat pig that has been fed exclusive feed for a certain period of time with a designated breeding pig at a production site certified by the Zen-noh Fukushima Prefectural Headquarters. Fukushima Prefectural Economic Federation (currently JA Zen-Noh Fukushima) established a breeding pig farm in the Hayama area, which straddles Kawamata Town and Nihonmatsu City in Fukushima Prefecture. were fed as sows to The pigs born from the supplied mother pigs (sangenton) were branded and named “Rokuyama Kougen Pork”. The characteristic of “Rokuyama Kougen Pork” is the softness of the meat. One of the attractions is that the fat is light and has little bitterness. This is the 33rd year since the birth of the brand, and the annual production of about 18,000 heads is not that many in Japan, and most of the distribution is within Fukushima Prefecture. [Image 2

“Love Shiitake” is a brand of fungus bed shiitake mushrooms cultivated by producers in Fukushima Prefecture with the aim of realizing the ultimate in safety and quality. Producers become members of the ZEN-NOH Fukushima Shiitake Production and Sales Council, and JA ZEN-NOH Fukushima takes charge of all aspects of commercialization and sales, enabling producers to concentrate on cultivating high-quality shiitake mushrooms.

Nakata Farm specializes in cultivating green onions, and is working on “natural recycling agriculture” that does not rely on chemical fertilizers as much as possible and cultivates crops with compost using agricultural residue and cattle excrement. We are committed to eco-friendly farming methods. In addition to employment of people with disabilities, we are also a farmer who contributes to the region by working on “agriculture and welfare cooperation” for the purpose of independence. At the forefront of Fukushima, we receive directly from Fukushima the “Nakata Nouen no Negi,” which has taken on the challenges of disasters, and uses them in our cafeteria menu. [Image 4

In addition, the “Anpo persimmon” sold this time is a traditional winter specialty of Fukushima. Even now, the original flavor of persimmons is brought out by hand-made products using the same old-fashioned manufacturing method. The beautiful amber-colored, thick flesh is highly nutritious and contains a lot of vitamin A, calcium, dietary fiber, etc., and is known as a nutritious and healthy fruit. Due to the earthquake, the existence of the production area was at risk, but thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, advanced technology was introduced, and further branding was promoted.
