The Sea and Japan Project in Aichi Executive Committee will run the Sea and Japan Project in Aichi Prefecture at the “Osu Shopping Street x TV Aichi Thanksgiving 2022” to be held in Osu Shopping District on Saturday, December 10, 2022. I will appear on stage as a committee member. On the day of the event, we will hold an event where you can enjoy thinking about the marine litter problem through various experiences such as playing games and assembling balls. This initiative will be held as part of the “Umi to Nihon Project: CHANGE FOR THE BLUE”, a marine litter countermeasure project promoted by The Nippon Foundation.

At the Sea and Japan Project booth, we have prepared a content called “Puyo Souji” that allows participants to have fun while feeling familiar with the marine litter problem. Let’s separate and erase garbage with “Puyo Puyo”, which is also an e-sports! This is a program where you can have fun learning about the rules for sorting garbage while playing games. Parents and children, families, as well as friends, please come and visit us!
On the day of the event, we will prepare souvenirs and participation prizes limited to the Umi and Japan Project, depending on the score of “Puyo Souji”, so please look forward to it!

CHANGE FOR THE BLUE
In 2018, as part of the Nippon Foundation’s “Umi to Nihon Project”, the goal is to raise the awareness of society as a whole that “no more litter will be thrown into the sea” by making the problem of marine litter a personal matter for each and every citizen. This project has been underway since November 2011.
We will collaborate with stakeholders from industry, government, academia, and citizens to create a marine litter reduction model and disseminate it both domestically and internationally.
