10 companies in the food and beverage industry, including Suntory Holdings Limited, have formed a “Buyer Member Sedex Working Team for the Food and Beverage Industry” at the Supplier Ethical Data Exchange (Sedex) to which they belong.

Since 2019, we have been a member of Sedex, a non-profit organization that works to realize ethical and responsible business practices in global supply chains.
This time, in response to the “Guidelines for Respecting Human Rights in Responsible Supply Chains” announced by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry in September this year, participating companies will further strengthen cooperation with suppliers to promote human rights issues in their supply chains. form a working team.
The Suntory Group established the “Sustainable Procurement Basic Policy” in 2011 and the “Suntory Group Supplier Guidelines” in 2017. After joining Sedex in 2019, we have been working with our business partners to strengthen and improve the efficiency of risk management in the global supply chain. We will participate in this working team and plan to hold a joint briefing session for suppliers in January 2023, further accelerating our efforts.
Going forward, we will continue to promote sustainability throughout the entire supply chain that considers our business partners, society, and the environment through human rights due diligence activities using the Sedex platform.
