For more information about the event, please visit the NFT Summit Tokyo website (https://www.nft.pivot-tokyo.com/).
Details of the party will be announced on the day at the NFT Summit Tokyo venue. Overview of the talk session
1) “Manga and NFT”
Although the e-comic market is growing remarkably, the current situation is that end users only purchase the “right to view” the work and cannot own the work. NFT comics, on the other hand, allow the reader to be the true owner. We have already seen various entries in Japan, but we will discuss what this difference brings from the respective positions of authors, readers, editors, publishers, platforms, etc. “Is “I want to reach more readers” and “Increase asset value due to rarity” compatible?”, “Is promoting secondary distribution a desirable direction?”, “What is e-comic unique to Web3?” Think in perspective.
2) “NFT in Southeast Asia: How does Web3 revitalize creators and corporate activities?”
Southeast Asia’s digital economy is projected to reach US$240 billion by 2025. This massive growth is largely due to the creator economy spreading across Southeast Asia. Four Southeast Asian countries (Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, and the Philippines) are among the top 10 NFT user markets, accounting for 35% of the total NFT market. In this session, we will introduce the great potential of the Southeast Asian market, the growth of creators, and future challenges and opportunities.
History of collaboration
To date, we have participated as an advisor in projects such as “development of overseas markets for manga publishers” and
“acquisition of overseas works by e-comic platforms,” and have provided services utilizing our know-how and networks. We also have our own network for overseas comics in Asia, Europe and the United States, and support two-way transactions in the manga industry. Starting this year, we are taking on new challenges, such as running a manga/illustration contest for high school and university students in Taiwan.
As a startup company from Indonesia, GASPACK has continued to support NFT artists. With the launch of Web3’s e-comic service, we are looking for a wide range of points of contact with people in the manga industry who are actively working on overseas expansion. We will carefully proceed with an approach that matches the market situation.
Service of Kometh
“Kometh”, one of GASPACK’s main services, is a Web3 e-comic publishing platform. It is designed to make it easier for creators to publish their comics in True Digital Comics(TM) format on the blockchain. We aim to become a new frontier for creators, brands, and IP owners to explore new ways of engaging with communities, users, and fans, while ensuring fair revenue sharing and protection of creators’ rights, while increasing discovery power. increase. Gaspack helps creators realize their visions by leveraging the Web3 economy. We believe that we can help the creative community in Japan as well.
