Dassault Systèmes has been named 10th in the 2023 Global 100 list. This is the 12th consecutive year that we have been selected in the same survey.
The “100 Most Sustainable Companies in the World” is a survey published annually by Corporate Knights of Canada, and is
internationally recognized as a representative standard for analyzing corporate sustainability. . Dassault Systèmes was named to the Global 100 for the first time in 2012, and has been on the list for 12 consecutive years. It won first place in 2018.
According to Corporate Knights, the 2023 Global 100 survey included nearly 6,000 publicly traded companies with revenues of US$1 billion or more. All companies are scored on the relevant indicators relative to their peers, with a 50% weighting assigned to ‘sustainability earnings’ and ‘sustainability investments’. Nine indicators have fixed weights and the remaining indicators are weighted according to each industry’s relative impact on the economy as a whole. After
quantitatively analyzing the data of 25 key performance indicators using the Corporate Knights method, this year’s overall score is assigned a letter grade (an evaluation based on four levels from A to D. A is the best grade, and The ranking is determined by converting into a good A+ and an A- that is one step below). Details of the selection criteria are published on the company’s website. This time, Dassault Systèmes earned a particularly high score in indicators such as “sustainability returns,” “sustainability investment,” and “sound management of pension funds,” which led to its ranking.
Dassault Systèmes develops its business based on the purpose of “harmony between products, nature and people”. Being named to the Global 100 for the 12th consecutive year demonstrates that we continue to operate in line with this purpose.
Innovation for sustainability
Industry can use virtual twins to help achieve the SDGs and halve greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. Virtual twin simulations and collaboration are effective in reconsidering the complex processes involved in business activities, such as design, manufacturing, logistics, and supplier management, as a comprehensive value chain. It is possible for companies to transform their existing business models and not only reduce their environmental impact, but also create a net positive impact on society as a whole.
