1,800 people were asked about the details of their part-time jobs, a user survey of Enbaite
97% answered that they “emphasize the content of the job” when looking for a part-time job. As a result of not emphasizing the content of the work, there were also cases where the job was not rewarding and led to leaving the job.

En-Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo, President: Koji Suzuki), a recruitment site that collects “dispatch-type part-time jobs” (https://hb.en-japan.com/) ), we conducted a questionnaire on the “part-time job recruitment site / app” for site users. We received responses from 1,849 people. We report the results below.

Survey results Overview
★ 97% answered that they “emphasize the content of the job” when looking for a part-time job. The top reason for focusing on people under 20 is “because it leads to motivation”. People in their 30s or older say, “I want to continue for a long time.”
★ Many people say that they failed to find a part-time job as a result of not paying attention to the content of their work. There are also cases where physical gaps and lack of motivation led to leaving the job.
Survey results details
1: 97% answered that they “emphasize the content of the job” when looking for a part-time job. The top reason for focusing on people under 20 is “because it leads to motivation”. People in their 30s or older say, “I want to continue for a long time.” (Figures 1-3) When asked, “Do you place importance on job content when choosing a part-time job?”, 97% of respondents said that they “important” (most important: 45%, one of the important conditions: 52%). I found out that
When asked about the reason for those who answered “important”, the top answer was “because I want to continue for a long time” at 49%. By age group, the top people in their 30s and over said, “I want to continue for a long time” (30s: 54%, 40s: 53%, 50s and over: 54%), but the top people in their 20s and under said, “I want to continue for a long time.” Because it leads to ”(49%). Next, when asked about the most important criteria when choosing a job, the top answer was “Balance with salary” (43%).

2: Many people say that they failed to choose a part-time job as a result of not paying attention to the work content. There are also cases where physical gaps and lack of motivation led to leaving the job.
When asked about the episodes in which they felt they failed to find a part-time job as a result of not emphasizing the content of their work, we received 266 specific episodes. I will introduce some of them.
Q. Please tell us if there is an episode where you felt that you failed in choosing a part-time job as a result of not emphasizing the work content.
・I got a job because I had a friend, but it didn’t suit me and it was a long-term contract, but I quit after a month. (teens/female) ・I wanted to start a part-time job as soon as possible, so I started working at a fast food restaurant near my house. Hourly wages are important, but I thought it was more important to be able to work according to my personality and pace. (teens/female)
・Although the hourly wage was set high, I didn’t feel it was worthwhile and the time passed slowly. (20s/female)
・I put too much emphasis on hourly wages, but when I started working, I found that the work required more physical strength than I thought, and I struggled with jobs that required skills. (20s/Male)
・Because it was written as “clerical work, data entry”, I thought that there was no telephone answering, but in reality, the level of work content increased step by step, and I had to handle specialized telephone calls. (30s/female)
・I didn’t carefully examine the job content, and I applied for a job that anyone could do, but it didn’t last long. (30s/female)
・I heard that it was light work, but in fact, I hurt my back because I had to carry heavy objects that I could not lift every day. I thought it was important to ask how many kilometers it was. (30s/Male) ・Unlike the job content I thought, I quit because I didn’t find it rewarding. (40s/female)
・I didn’t acquire any skills for hard work. not commensurate with salary. (40s/Male)
