Japan Material Co., Ltd. (President: Hisao Tanaka, Mie-gun, Mie Prefecture) will release a new product “8K compatible HDMI optical cable” of our brand “JMW (JAPAN MATERIAL WIRE)” on Monday, January 23rd. .
This product is an HDMI optical cable that supports 48Gbps
transmission. It supports high resolutions of 8K/60p and 4K/120p and achieves stable high-speed transmission. We have a lineup of all 4 types with lengths from 5m to 20m.

Supports 48Gbps high-speed transmission and 8K/4K high-resolution video transmission
This product supports high-speed transmission of 48Gbps and supports high resolutions of 8K (7680×4320/60Hz) and 4K (3840×2160/120Hz). It transmits beautiful images as they are.
Supports connection of HDMI 2.1 standard compliant devices
Supports DynamicHDR, eARC, and game mode VRR (*). It is backwards compatible, so it can be used with legacy HDMI equipment.
(*) eARC supports up to 10m
Efficient use of quartz fiber to achieve both stable transmission and cost reduction
By converting the HDMI electrical signal into light and transmitting it, it prevents signal deterioration due to attenuation of the electrical signal. In addition, quartz glass optical fiber with low light loss is used for the TMDS channel, which is essential for HDMI long-distance transmission and ultra-high-speed transmission. The TMDS channel uses a “hybrid structure” consisting of quartz fiber and copper wire for the rest, keeping costs down and enabling stable, ultra-high-speed transmission.
No external power supply required
Equipped with a power-saving IC, it operates only with the power supplied from the HDMI terminal of the connected source device or display device.
