Information on the public symposium “Foreigners living in Japan you don’t know” (Date: February 15th)

Japan Platform (JPF) co-sponsored with the Japan Center for
International Exchange (JCIE) to hold a public symposium titled “Foreigners Living in Japan You Don’t Know – What do you want them to know and what do you want them to think about together?” ” will be held online on Wednesday, February 15th.

International Exchange (JCIE) to hold a public symposium titled “Foreigners Living in Japan You Don’t Know: What We Want You to Know, What We Want You to Think About Together.” ” will be held online on Wednesday, February 15th.
In this symposium, representatives from nine NPOs/NGOs that are active at the forefront of activities to support foreigners living in Japan will take the stage to discuss aspects of life, education, medical care, and labor that we do not know or are unaware of. We will introduce the barriers that people with foreign roots face in their daily lives, the difficulty of living, and the efforts that are being made with various methods to change the current situation. We will then discuss what is changing in Japanese society due to these activities, what needs to be changed, and what perspectives and systems are required in the with and after COVID-19 era of living with foreign residents. ,think.
