In Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, which is known as the largest ceramic production area in Japan, a new spot where you can fully enjoy the pottery will be born.
Koyo Toki Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, President: Shinji Kato), which manufactures commercial tableware for professionals, will open “KOYO BASE, a complex experience facility for tableware” on the premises of its headquarters from January 21, 2023. We are pleased to inform you that the facility will open.
The Tono region of Gifu Prefecture boasts more than 50% of the production of ceramics in Japan.
A base where you can taste the whole tableware that can only be done in this place.

Toki City, Gifu Prefecture, where this facility is located, is the largest ceramic production area in Japan. The high-quality soil that is indispensable for making pottery is produced, and a large-scale manufacturing network has been built by cooperating with many producers, from large-scale factories to small home factories. This facility operated by Koyo Toki, which has been involved in the production of ceramics in this area since its establishment in 1964, aims to provide an experience that can only be done in this production area.
The concept is “Clay to Table”.
It is a facility where you can fully enjoy the charm of pottery, from clay to table.
Feel free to stop by for lunch, a cafe, or to look for pottery in the production area.

At the cafe dining CLAY Table, we will deliver “a little extravagant, everyday cuisine” using local ingredients from Gifu. Homemade original desserts and drinks are also available. You are also welcome to use the cafe only. All tableware selected to match the dishes are made by KOYO. Please pay attention to our proud complements that create a pleasant meal.

At the BASE Shop, which is adjacent to the cafe dining room, we mainly have KOYO tableware for professional use that is also used in hotels and restaurants.
