Since small electric mobility such as electric scooters is new to the world and to Japan, each country is searching for rules for safe and convenient driving as it spreads. Since 2019, Luup has conducted demonstration experiments of electric kickboards on more than 30 private and public lands nationwide and listened to the voices of everyone in the city. After a demonstration experiment on the university campus in 2019 and a demonstration experiment on public roads as a motorized bicycle in 2020, from April 2021, we will participate in demonstration experiments by related ministries and agencies for rule development, electric kickboards. started providing sharing services.
We believe that the establishment of traffic rules exclusively for electric small mobility vehicles such as electric scooters for the first time is a step forward toward the safe spread of new mobility. We will work to further raise awareness in cooperation with industry groups and local governments so that customers can use our services in accordance with the new traffic rules.
