Contour machining is the mainstream method for roughing molds, but in recent years, “high-efficiency side cutting” has become popular, mainly in Europe. High-efficiency side milling improves machining stability at the mold corner where tool breakage is likely to occur by utilizing the load control tool path installed in general CAM, and achieves high-efficiency machining with a large axial depth of cut. make it possible. Therefore, we have developed a carbide end mill that is optimal for high-efficiency side cutting that greatly contributes to the improvement of mold productivity.
