■ Launched Japan’s first autonomous water taxi business
Since our establishment in 2021, we have consistently been developing autonomous navigation technology in the Seto Inland Sea, centered on Hiroshima Prefecture, with the aim of solving social issues related to water transportation in remote island areas.
In June 2022, it was adopted by the Hiroshima Prefecture “Sakigake” Project Demonstration Experiment Implementation Business, aiming to realize new water transportation, and has repeatedly discussed with Bunker Supply, a passenger ship operator in Hiroshima City. I was. Our company’s mission to “autonomize all water mobility and create roads on the sea” resonated with us, and with the support of Hiroshima Prefecture, we decided to introduce “AI CAPTAIN”. This will be the first case of introduction since the announcement of AI CAPTAIN at the end of October 2022, and the first time in Japan that a water taxi will be operated using a vessel equipped with an autonomous navigation system.

Prior to the start of business, Governor Yuzaki of Hiroshima Prefecture used a water taxi to travel from the pier (Motoujina Pier) in front of the Grand Prince Hotel Hiroshima to the Hiroshima Municipal Pier.
