What is the new winter activity “Nature Skiing”?
“Nature skiing” is, as the name suggests, skiing on natural terrain. Plains, forests, gentle hills to steep slopes, anywhere with snow can be a playing field.
The biggest features of nature skiing are soft shoes that are almost the same as trekking boots, the heel is not fixed to the board, and the back side of the board has scales (non-slip). The heel is not fixed, so it is easy to walk, and the scales prevent the board from slipping backwards, so you can walk straight up the slope even though you are skiing! If you’ve ever skied on the slopes, you’ll be in for a culture shock.
