Sharp Marketing Japan certified as a “DX Certified Business Operator” stipulated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry

Sharp Marketing Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Yao City, Osaka Prefecture, President: Toichi Nakayama, hereinafter referred to as SMJ) will be a “DX certified business operator” based on the DX (digital transformation) certification system established by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry this year. Approved on January 1st.
The DX certification system is a certification system based on the “Law for Partial Revision of the Act on Promotion of Information Processing (*1)”. In response to the basic matters of the “Digital Governance Code (*2)” formulated by the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, we will prepare for the promotion of DX by formulating a management vision and developing strategies and systems based on social changes caused by digital technology. Based on the application, the government certifies the business operators who are in place. At SMJ, in order to transform our business from a hardware-centered business to a solutions business that utilizes digital technology, we are working on two things: “building a system for creating new services and solutions” and “cultivating and securing digital human resources.” Set as a key theme in DX initiatives. We are promoting the reform of business processes, the digitalization of marketing, sales, and service activities, support for employees to acquire
qualifications to improve their digital skills, the digitalization of the educational environment, and the active recruitment of DX human resources.
In addition to revamping its core system, SMJ is preparing an environment for improving productivity through DX, such as improving operational efficiency by utilizing various software applications developed in-house and within the Sharp Group, such as video conferencing systems and chat tools. I am also working on Centered on the “DX Promotion Committee” established in-house, we will further promote the consideration and creation of a roadmap for our DX strategy and the progress management of the entire project.
SMJ will continue to implement various DX measures and continue to provide new value through the creation of new products, services, and business models.
*1 This is a law that stipulates management reforms on the digital side of companies, building foundations for data collaboration and sharing throughout society, and building security.
*2 This is a summary of the actions required of managers, such as the formulation and publication of a management vision based on social changes brought about by digital technology, in order to encourage voluntary corporate initiatives related to DX.
