From the Ukiyo-e work “Goldfish Zukushi” series, which personifies goldfish, “Tamaya Tamaya” depicts a bubble seller (tama) who appeared in the middle of the Edo period selling bubbles to children in the town. It is drawn with an interesting idea that water bubbles are likened to soap bubbles.
