High school students from Nagasaki have a school exchange in New York! Through international exchange, high school students develop friendships that transcend national borders!
18 high school students from Nagasaki will deepen their understanding of each other’s cultures and lifestyles through school exchanges and home visits in New York.

18 high school students from Nagasaki will be dispatched to New York in the United States as part of the Kakehashi Project.
Japanese high school students deepen their understanding of America’s economy, society, culture, history, etc., while participants deepen exchanges and learn about peace. In addition, we will actively communicate the appeal of Japan through exchanges at the places we visit and strengthen our network.
In New York, where the high school students will visit, school exchanges at local high schools and home visits to visit ordinary homes of American students and experience their daily lives are planned. Through these experiences, participants will deepen the friendship between Japan and the United States, while actively promoting the appeal of Japan.
This program is part of the Kakehashi Project (U.S.A.), an
international exchange program promoted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan called the “Exchange Program for Promoting
Understanding of Japan.”
