[Survey report] How to choose a makeup base that has a sunscreen effect? The first place was “SPF50 PA++++”.

When we conducted a survey on the selection of a makeup base with sunscreen effect, the first place was “SPF50 PA++++”.

After the 2nd place, “Hypoallergenic and additive-free” and “SPF is not too high” followed, and “No color” came in 7th place.
1st place: SPF50/PA++++
・I apply sunscreen every day. To be honest, it’s really troublesome to apply sunscreen, apply makeup base, and apply makeup on top of that. So, if the makeup base has a strong sunscreen effect, you can skip the first step of applying sunscreen, and you can save time, so it’s very comfortable. That’s why when choosing a makeup base, I try to choose one that properly protects against sunburn (SPF50/PA++++). (Female in her 30s)

Since it is troublesome to apply sunscreen and then apply it to the base, it seems that SPF50 / PA ++++ is used as the base.
2nd place: Hypoallergenic, additive-free
・Because it is applied directly to the skin, you don’t want to have rough skin or spots if it doesn’t match. Also, because we are particular about additive-free. (Female in her 30s)

Since it comes in direct contact with the skin, there was an opinion that it should be less irritating.
3rd place: SPF is not too high
・I also look at moisturizing ingredients, but the most applicable ones are those with an SPF of about 30 to 50 that are not too high! (Female in her 30s)

5th place: colored
・The color makes your skin look beautiful and covers it, so you can use it easily when you want to quickly apply makeup. (Female in her 30s)
・Since it is prone to dullness, it cannot be covered with just the color of the foundation. So it is necessary to prepare it with color at the time of the base. (Female in her 30s)
・I want to have a tanning effect and tone up my skin at the same time, so I choose something with color. Choose a colorless one except for the face. (Female in her 30s)
6th place: Select by brand and price
・Because it’s the first thing you put on your skin, you can see a lot of reviews if the brand is used by many people. It’s something you use every day, so you can’t use it unless it’s affordable. (Female in her 30s)

7th place: No color
・No color is important when choosing a makeup base that has a sunscreen effect. Because if there are too many UV absorbers, it will float white. (Female in her 40s)
・Things that tone up will harden over time and leave something like eraser crumbs. (Female in her 20s)
7th place was “no color”.
If you choose a colored one, it seems that your makeup will fall apart when your sebum breaks down.

In a survey of 100 people, 36.0% of the respondents answered “SPF50/PA++++”. In addition, as reasons for responding, there were many opinions that it would save time if the base and UV protection could be done at once, and that they valued UV protection.
