LEE generation’s interest in “comfortable kitchen”
(C) LEE March issue/Shueisha Photography/Wakana Baba
Since its launch in May 1983, “LEE” has featured numerous interior projects that are closely related to the lives of its readers. What we have learned from our 40 years of knowledge about the lifestyles of the LEE generation is that for the LEE generation, who focus on living, the kitchen is the center of their lives, and there is a particular need to make it a comfortable place. It means that it is a place that is on the rise. In recent years, the kitchen needs have diversified, not only for flow lines and functionality as a living space, but also for a “work space where you can take a break” and a “counter type where you can talk with your family”.
* Excerpt from the “home building survey” conducted by the LEE editorial department for 390 readers in September 2010
Therefore, the LEE editorial department asked what kind of thoughts they had in creating the kitchen, and also collected the smiles and stories of the families that the kitchen created, and created the idea of a kitchen that is suitable for the times and ideal for the current LEE generation. I wanted to take a close-up on “The way families should be” and deliver it to readers. The editorial department offers home coverage to the Grand Prix and Semi-Grand Prix winners selected from applicants. The kitchen will be featured in the December issue of “LEE” (scheduled to be released on November 7) along with photos taken by a professional photographer. In addition, we will invite you to the -LEE 40th anniversary event (official name undecided)-to be held on October 1st (Sun), and we will award you at the award ceremony.
