YOSHIKI, the leader of X JAPAN and THE LAST ROCKSTARS, lyricist, composer, arranger, and music producer, will release the three-series “Y by YOSHIKI” from 2020 on Friday, March 17, 2023. We will release 2 series of new vintages from inside.

The 4th edition of the highest grade premium range that released the first vintage in 2018.
“Y by YOSHIKI” is a wine released in 2009 in collaboration with YOSHIKI and Rob Mondavi Jr., the 4th generation of Napa Valley winemaking family and winemaker.
The two of them have discussed many times about the style of wine that YOSHIKI wants to make, repeated wine tastings many times, and have released 5 series of wines over the course of 14 years.
From 2020, three series of “Y by Yoshiki California”, “Y by Yoshiki Russian River Valley”, and “Y by Yoshiki Oakville” will be
standardized.・New vintages of “By Yoshiki California” and “Y by Yoshiki Oakville” will be released.
“Y by Yoshiki Russian River Valley”, which was originally scheduled to be released in 2020 vintage, was damaged by the large-scale wildfires that occurred in California for several months from August 2020. suffered considerable smoke damage. Based on YOSHIKI’s belief that we should stick to our commitment to quality without compromising, we came to the conclusion that it would be difficult to make Y by YOSHIKI wine from those grapes, so we gave up on the release this time. Also, the Cabernet Sauvignon of “Y by Yoshiki California” to be released this time was originally planned to release the 2020 vintage, but for the same reason, we gave up on making the 2020 vintage. However, in response to YOSHIKI’s desire to somehow deliver wine to consumers who look forward to the California series, which has been steadily gaining fans since 2018, Rob chose the 2019 vintage wine. After working hard to secure it, we blended with YOSHIKI again, and finally we were able to create and release the second 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon. And this time, Cabernet Sauvignon ‘Encore’ was released with the name ‘Encore’.

Aromas of cocoa, blackberry and elderberry are earthy and mineral. The palate is very smooth with layers of black fruit and umami leading to a long and voluminous finish. This wine is made from 100%
single-vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon and aged in bespoke French oak barrels.
