On March 23, 2023 (Thursday), the Tokyo Metropolitan Government held a meeting to report the results of the new business discovery project (GEMStartup TOKYO).
In this event, as an effort to connect the know-how and ideas cultivated by private companies such as large companies to
entrepreneurship and new business creation, participants in the commercialization program of “New Business Discovery Project (GEMStartup TOKYO)” will report results and provide corporate support. A report was made by the companies participating in the program. In the first part, we will report the achievements through
presentations by the adopters of the commercialization program and the companies participating in the corporate support program. We invited Mr. Kota Kurihara (President and CEO of Sairyu Co., Ltd.) and Mr. Naoto Nozawa (Executive Officer of Gaiax Co., Ltd. / Representative Director of Venture Public Relations Co., Ltd.) on the theme of “What is a carve-out that leads to an update without a break?” From the standpoint of those who used and promoted the carve-out system, he talked about the obstacles to overcome in creating new businesses and the things necessary to overcome them, based on his experiences.
