Memorandum of Understanding Concluded to Build Clean Hydrogen and Ammonia Value Chain in Thailand

The memorandum of understanding stipulates that Mitsubishi
Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation (Thailand), and Chiyoda
Corporation will work together on decarbonization projects for EGAT, Thailand’s leading state-owned power generation company, in order to achieve Thailand’s decarbonization goals. . Through joint studies, we aim to build a series of supply chains for producing, storing, transporting and using clean hydrogen and ammonia derived from renewable energy in southern Thailand, and supplying them to Thailand and overseas.
Thailand is positioned as an important country in the AZEC concept advocated by the Japanese government, and it is expected that the movement toward carbon neutrality will accelerate further in the future. Through this memorandum, we will study safe and efficient transportation means and methods for hydrogen and ammonia, mainly based on our extensive experience and knowledge related to resource and energy transportation. In addition, EGAT, a top player in the energy and power industry in Thailand, Mitsubishi Corporation (Thailand), which has extensive knowledge and extensive networks in Thailand, and Chiyoda Corporation, a comprehensive engineering company that undertakes projects around the world, will proceed with this study. , we will contribute to the development of the clean energy field in Thailand, and efforts to become carbon neutral in countries around the world.
