Toyonaka Municipal Library Mirai Plan Formulated Developing a library that connects people and information and enhances the appeal of the city
Toyonaka City formulated the “Toyonaka Municipal Library Future Plan” with the aim of building a new library service network. We have selected three candidate sites for the new Central Library
(provisional name), and announced new developments (10 items) for sustainable library services.
Outline of “Toyonaka Municipal Library Future Plan: Aiming for Everyone’s “My Library””
◎Planning period: April 2023-(provisional name) implementation period of the basic concept of the central library
◎ Aimed library image: A library that connects people with
information, people with people, and enhances the appeal of the city [Sustainable facility layout for the promotion of social education] By sharing goals with public halls, etc., we will work on cooperation and facility layout to further promote social education, leading to the promotion of human resource development that participates in the local community from individual lifelong learning.
[Supporting learning by connecting people and information as a “base of knowledge”]
In addition to preserving various materials and managing data, we will enhance means of accessing diverse information, and strengthen support for citizens who find it difficult to use the library.
[Creating a library that people want to visit]
The Central Library (provisional name), which provides all kinds of library services, and each library will develop distinctive services that meet the needs of each region, transforming it into a “library that everyone wants to visit.”

▷ Development of new functions for Takagawa/Hotarugaike Library ▷Promote initiatives related to resolving lifestyle issues
