◆Overview
National University Corporation Okayama University (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Okayama City) held a degree conferment ceremony for 2023 at the Okayama Prefectural General Ground Gymnasium (Zip Arena Okayama) on March 24, 2023, and undergraduate and graduate students We celebrated the departure of a total of 3,150 people.
At the ceremony, former President Hiroshi Makino awarded a diploma and a certificate of completion to the representative of the 22
representatives of the undergraduate and graduate schools. The 17 winners of the Okayama University Kuromasa Award, which is given to students with outstanding academic performance and character, were commended, and a certificate was presented to the representative. In his speech, former President Makino said, “I feel that the next generation, who have endured the corona disaster and worked hard, are developing the power to open up the ‘VUCA era’, where it is extremely difficult to predict the future.” He said, “I hope that the activity base from April will be firmly recognized as a ‘place for new growth,’ and I hope that you will continue to learn for the rest of your life.” In the morning, Yuki Kodan from the Faculty of Economics and Seiya Sato from the Graduate School of Health Sciences, and in the afternoon Ms. Minori Kawata from the Global Discovery Program and Ryo Nakajima from the Graduate School of Environmental and Life Sciences, representing the graduates and graduates. gave an answer.
