This time, the Japan Burger Championship 2023, a competition to determine the best hamburger in Japan, will be held at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse for three days from June 9th (Friday) to 11th (Sunday), 2023. A total of 12 hamburger shops in Japan will gather and compete, and the winning shop will win the right to participate in the “World Food Championships 2023” to be held in Dallas, USA in November 2023.

In the Japan Burger Championship, popular hamburger restaurants from all over the country compete within a time limit to determine the best hamburger in Japan by competing in terms of technique and taste within predetermined rules such as ingredients used, cooking equipment, and team formation. It’s a competition. This tournament is the only official international qualifier in Japan recognized by the World Food Championships, the world’s largest food sports event.
The first Japanese tournament was held last year, and out of a total of 8 hamburger shops, “SHOGUN BURGER”, a wagyu hamburger specialty restaurant created by “Yakiniku House Taishogun”, which has been in business for 35 years, won the championship and won the “World Food Championships”. 2022” and ranked 6th in the world.
In 2023, the number of participating stores and sales stores will be expanded, and the “Japan Burger Championship 2023” will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse from June 9th (Friday) to 11th (Sunday). Twelve popular hamburger shops will participate, and preliminary and final rounds will be held over three days to decide the best hamburger in Japan. In the competition, the hamburger cooking method, taste, and appearance are judged in total, so you can watch the hot battle with a sense of reality, such as the condition of the kitchen on the day and the ability to respond flexibly. The winning store will win the right to participate in the Japanese representative at the “World Food Championships 2023” to be held in Dallas, Texas, USA in November 2023. At the venue, not only can you watch the competition, but you can also eat hamburgers from the participating stores, as well as sell collaboration goods, popular apparel, and drinks, so you can enjoy hamburgers in total.
