“Mama Dream Radio” created by mothers on community FM nationwide has started broadcasting on 5 new stations!
Approximately 150 mothers from all over the country participated in Japan’s first radio production project to transmit information from the “thorough mother’s point of view” during normal times in order to increase the child-rearing generation who can obtain information from the radio when a disaster occurs. Broadcasting stations expanded to 20 bases!
We Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Ayumi Nakano, Location: Izunokuni City, Shizuoka Prefecture) will broadcast the radio production project “Mama Dream Radio” in which local mothers challenge program production in 20 community FM locations nationwide. It will be replaced and will start sequentially from April 7, 2023.

What is Mama Yume Radio?
Mama Yume Radio is a “radio production project” in which mothers from all over the country take on the challenge of program planning, composition, publicity, and personality at their local community FM stations.
In 2018, Nozomu Takeoka (Director of Us Co., Ltd., Representative of Mama Yume Radio Secretariat) became the founder, and since the first broadcast started on Shibuya Cross FM, with the concept of “connecting moms and communities with radio”, We have produced more than 400 mama radio personalities so far. Instead of sending out something special, such as reporting on hot spots in the area where they live, interesting people, delicious food, and introducing episodes of child-rearing and women’s unique worries, it is a “thorough mother’s point of view”. State of coverage
Since 95% of the participants are mothers who have no experience in radio program production, the personalities learn program production methods and vocalizations from active instructors at online study sessions, and interviews and appearances are often carried out with their children. There are many participants who want to show their children that they can take on challenges other than raising children or working.

There are various environments such as full-time housewives, full-time and part-time workers, sole proprietors and company managers, and the age ranges from 20s to 70s, and there are people who are pregnant with children and grandchildren. All moms are participating.
It is attracting attention all over the country as a community that transmits various ways of life for mothers, and in response to the voice of “Mama’s dream radio in my town”, we continue to expand the circle of activities.
Increasing the number of people involved in radio raises awareness of disaster prevention among the child-rearing generation
Increasing the number of people who enjoy listening to the radio during normal times will lead to the creation of conditions in which citizens can properly receive the radio, which is an important role of community FM, “transmitting local disaster prevention and disaster information.”
By developing “Mama’s Dream Radio” with mothers all over the country, we will increase the number of people who know and listen to community FM broadcasting in the area where we live or have a connection, and I want to increase the number of child-rearing generations who can protect the lives of children.
