“KYOTOGRAPHIE 2023” is being held until May 14th (Sun). At this photo festival, Dior is in special cooperation with the exhibition of Yuriko Takagi, a photographer who has pursued “human existence” through fashion and the human body from a unique perspective. Ms. Yuriko Takagi’s solo exhibition “PARALLEL WORLD” currently being held at Nijo Castle Ninomaru Goten Daidokoro Goseisho was completed by architect Tsuyoshi Tane’s scenography. The name of this exhibition means “two worlds” that exist synchronously, and the world of “Threads of Beauty” and “Fashion”, which photographed people in 12 countries who wear ethnic costumes on a daily basis, intersect. . On the theme of fashion, the creations of designers who have led the fashion world from the 1980s to the present day are captured in photographs, including a special archive piece of haute couture photographed by Yuriko Takagi for Dior. is also included. Photographer Takagi takes a behind-the-scenes look at this exhibition, where two worlds intersect in a variety of photographic expressions, including works printed on different materials such as photographic paper, Japanese paper, cotton paper, and plaster, as well as works that he himself has colored on prints.
