Baba expresses his passion for comedy with his whole body, making Ryuhei, of course, the audience think that “manzai is interesting.” He plays the main character who is attracted to the desperate feelings of manzai and naturally wants to support him. Suda, who plays the other main character, shows the change in Ryuhei, who learns the joy of manzai and becomes gentle, and the gap between the Yankee feeling and the straight and pure side. The tempo of the dialogue is comfortable even in scenes other than manzai. Seeing their respect for each other and their single-minded approach to laughter, I completely became their fan. Ryuhei’s younger sister Chinami (Aimi Natsume), friends Torakichi (Yuyoshi Kimura), and Maya (Maho Tomita) who support the two of them are also heartwarming. Manager Yokoyama (Momoko Mori), who watches over Tobio both sternly and warmly, and debt collectors Kanai (Yuya Miyashita) and Kawahara (Satoshi Sakata) have a big impact. The way Tobio and Ryuhei’s chemical reaction changes the surroundings is dazzling. Skull Kids members Sayama (Rihito Saki) and Shirokawa (Natsuki Osaki), who stand in the way of Ryuhei, manage to capture the laughter while taking on the serious scenes. Each and every one of them has the same charm and personality as the original, and I was drawn into the story unique to the stage version. Directed by Maggie, Ryoma Baba, and Rinne Suda will be on stage for the boxed interview. When asked how he felt about the opening, Baba said, “This is true for all stages, but I feel that this work will be completed with the audience’s laughter. Starting tomorrow, the audience’s response and laughter will be combined. I’m looking forward to seeing what kind of work it will grow into.” Suda also nodded, “I think the audience’s laughter is our communication. I want to enjoy it.” This time, as the title “Reloaded” suggests, the relationship between Tobio and Ryuhei and their passion for comedy are woven into a new stage-original story. From the original Shinagawa, there was a word “(Iwasaki) Udai is the script, Maggie is the director, so do it freely”, so while incorporating new interpretations and elements, the emo such as heat and sweat that is unique to the stage. Maggie says it stuck. In addition, Maggie called this work a “universal love story” and said, “Manzai artists often say that relationships with partners are like boyfriends and girlfriends, but as a non-manzai artist, I don’t think so. I have a certain admiration for things.I hope it will give you the feeling of a summer love after reading. The best selling points are the emo of the young people, the emo of the music I chose, and the emo production!” peeked at. Baba and Suda, who play two people with such an “emo” relationship, are perfect not only for the main story but also for the interview. When Suda said, “It’s my first time co-starring with us, and we’re about a year apart in age, but…”, Baba immediately replied, “Age is good!” I think you’re able to bring out the quirkiness.” Baba gave a wry smile, saying, “The hurdles have been raised.” Baba commented, “Mr. Maggie directed it very carefully, and it was fun to see that he was matching the material between the manzai and the ordinary conversation. The importance of stacking things like thin threads together and heading for the punch line. I found out,” he said earnestly. Regarding the pairing of the two, Maggie said, “It’s a set of comedians who have just teamed up, so it wouldn’t be a problem if they become too good, but Ryuhei’s enthusiasm when he meets manzai, Tobio’s fascination when he’s doing manzai, I directed it so that the fun and happiness of the song could be conveyed. Also, as a point of interest, Baba said, “It’s a feeling of youth between the two people who met fatefully. Suda said with a smile, “I would be happy if you could look forward to the process of Ryuhei’s growth as a comedian, who was just imitating Tsukkomi at first.” Aren’t the muscles the highlight?”, he appealed, “You’ve done a lot of shoulder training to become Ryuhei.” Baba also said, “You’ve been hanging all the time to train,” and summarized, “It’s muscle (laughs)!” When asked about his enthusiasm at the end, Suda said, “I think there are two ways to enjoy being the lead actor. I think you’ll be able to enjoy it with your heart, so I’d be happy if you could watch it from Tobio’s point of view once, and Ryuhei’s point of view next time.” Maggie added, “I also have (Ryuhei’s) younger sister Chinami’s point of view, and I don’t know who to empathize with. It will change,” he nodded. Baba commented, “I’m depicting unique characters living their lives to the fullest. I hope that their hard work will resonate with everyone. I hope you will look at me and think it’s ridiculous that I’m worried.I’d be happy if you could laugh a lot.” This work will be performed at the Hakuhinkan Theater from Thursday, May 4th (holiday), and will also be performed at COOL JAPAN PARK OSAKA TT Hall from June 2nd (Friday). You can taste the raw heat that is unique to the stage, and I hope you will see the refreshing youth story that will touch your heart everywhere while laughing at the comical scenes at the theater.
