The Indonesian Security Industry Association (ABUJAPI) was established in 2006 with security companies as members. There are 2,509 companies registered as members of ABUJAPI (as of May 23, 2023), and more than 1,750,000 people are employed by the registered companies. In addition, the main members are former police officers, and along with the training curriculum according to the level of security guards, newly recruited security guards have 232 hours, mid-career level staff have 160 hours, and manager level staff have 100 hours.
