◆ What is “MAWASU STATION”?
“MAWASU STATION” is a circulatory system that reuses and recycles clothes that are no longer worn to make them needed again. This time, some station ticket gates on the JR Chuo Line and JR Nambu Line, as well as “Celeo” and “nonowa” collection bases, will collect clothes that users no longer wear, perform maintenance and antibacterial processing, All Yours will reuse it for corporate uniforms. In addition, clothing that is difficult to reuse is refiberized by Kurabo’s upcycle system “L∞PLUS” and reborn as a raw material for the next textile product.
About the first demonstration experiment
In the first “MAWASU STATION”, we conducted a demonstration experiment of clothes collection at stations and station buildings for three months from July 1, 2022. The response far exceeded our expectations, and we were able to collect 16,300 pieces of clothes, about 5 tons. In addition, we received many favorable comments about this initiative from the customers who provided the clothes.
Kurabo, a textile manufacturer, refiberizes some of the clothes collected in the first round. In this second initiative, Kurabo will participate in the “MAWASU STATION” event scheduled to be held on July 4 and cooperate in spreading understanding of upcycling to the local community. Products will be sold at some station ticket gates on the JR Chuo Line and JR Nambu Line, as well as at “Celeo” and “nonowa.” 【reference】

What is L∞PLUS?
Since 2017, the company has been developing an initiative to recycle mill ends and textile products generated in the textile production process using Kurabo’s unique fiber opening and recovery technology, and upcycle them into various products. It is a new eco-fashion material that can express a unique heathered tone because it mixes various offcuts, and it is spreading to denim materials and knit materials. In addition to being environmentally conscious and contributing to the resolution of social issues through the reduction and effective use of waste, it is also sustainable as a co-creation business that is undertaken by society as a whole, including various companies such as apparel and textile production areas, as well as local governments and consumers, rather than Kurabo alone. We aim to realize a sustainable manufacturing and a recycling-oriented society. ◆Overview of each company
