New WSOP Challengers “Four Female Poker Players from Japan Challenge the WSOP”

The prize money for this event is 1,000,000 yen for 1st place, 800,000 yen for 2nd place, and 600,000 yen for 3rd and 4th place.
These four were the ones who remained out of the 32 qualifying participants. In the preliminaries, they were coached by a gorgeous team of coaches, including singer and professional mahjong player Junnosuke Taguchi (formerly of KAT-TUN), and famous mixed martial artist and YouTuber Shibata.

He has worked as a poker dealer for 7 years and is famous as a super veteran dealer who is also in charge of the distribution table of the largest national poker tournament in Japan. “I’m very happy because it’s my first time winning a tournament like this,” he said with deep emotion. He is expected to make use of his experience and skills as a player in the WSOP.

She is a famous cosplayer with over 300,000 social media followers, and is also a dancer who has appeared in the Roppongi Burlesque series. Along with her charming style, her skill and strategy also attracted many viewers.

Mr. Jen is a mahjong player belonging to the Japan Professional Mahjong Federation and has a rank of 4th. Originally an employee of the poker app “POKER STARS”, he understands the similarities between the two different games, mahjong and poker, and draws attention to his challenge to the WSOP using that experience.
And Yuri Murakami is active as a river and multi-talent, and is a super popular river who boasts the highest record in Japan for the river industry. He has also served as an MC for many poker tournaments and is a well-known player in the poker community.
It will be very interesting to see how these girls, who come from different backgrounds, will compete at the WSOP table.
