The CURRY&MUSIC JAPAN 2023 Executive Committee will hold “CURRY&MUSIC JAPAN 2023” at the Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Square for a total of four days from Friday, July 14th to Monday, July 17th, 2023. This event will be held in Yokohama, which is deeply related to curry*, where you can enjoy curry rice, which has evolved uniquely in Japan and is now a national dish, and live performances and talks by musicians who are related to curry and Yokohama. A collaboration event of festivals and live music”, a total of more than 50,000 people visited during the last period. This year, which will be the 4th time, it will be held in a new style where you can easily enjoy a variety of curries and live music of various genres. In the space where the curry sales area and the live venue are integrated, you can purchase your favorite curry and enjoy the exciting live stage. Curry stores lined up in the venue will have a diverse lineup of popular curry stores that are popular with curry lovers, collaboration curry with artists, and will also sell retort curry products. Musicians who love curry and artists who are trending on SNS are scheduled to appear in the live act. We are also planning to hold a talk show where the artists talk about their “curry love”, so please look forward to the next report. Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse, which has the concept of “no change no matter when you come, but new every time you come”, aims to be Japan’s largest curry and music festival, “CURRY & MUSIC JAPAN 2023”. From Yokohama, we will transmit the “unique Japanese culture” that can become a language. Additional announcements will be made around the end of June, including ticket sales information, curry store information, and performing artists, so please look forward to it. *There are various theories as to how curry was brought to Japan, one of which is that it was brought to Japan by foreigners living in the foreign settlement that was established when Yokohama Port was opened on June 2, 1859. In addition, there is a history that the way of eating “rice” with curry that was introduced to Japan developed from Yokohama.
