Nippon Paint Marets Saki Shibata donates a children’s table tennis table to Asahi City and Yao City!
Saki Shibata (belonging to Miki House) of the women’s table tennis club “Nippon Paint Marets” of the Nippon Paint Group is part of the prize money for the best player award won in the Nojima T League 2022-2023 season, with her hometown Asahi City, Chiba Prefecture. We are pleased to inform you that we have decided to donate two children’s table tennis tables, one for each, to Yao City, Osaka Prefecture, where MIKI HOUSE’s head office is located, through Table Tennis Junior Support Japan *1 (TJSJ).

Saki Shibata, who is participating in the T League from Nippon Paint Marets, won 20 wins (13 singles wins, 7 doubles wins) in the Nojima T League 2022-2023 season and won the Best Player Award. At that time, there was an offer to use part of the prize money to donate a children’s table tennis table, which Maret’s is also doing, and Maret’s decided to cooperate. The donated children’s ping-pong tables will be used at the Asahi City General Gymnasium in Asahi City, Chiba Prefecture, and at the Happy Children Nursery School in Yao City, Osaka Prefecture. The donation to Yao City was realized through the cooperation of the Osaka Sports Commission.
I hope that Shibata’s desire to “learn even a little about table tennis and feel closer to it” will reach everyone, and that more people will come into contact with table tennis.

This time, we will donate children’s table tennis tables to two cities, Asahi City and Yao City. Watching the activities of Maret’s, which donates children’s ping-pong tables as part of their social contribution activities, and when I participated in these activities, I was very impressed by the children playing table tennis. I was so happy that I decided to donate a children’s table tennis table as part of last season’s MVP award.
As a player, it goes without saying that I want to win, but as a professional, I believe that my job is to popularize table tennis.
