“Tachineputa” held in early August every year in Goshogawara City is a traditional folklore that was held from the middle of the Meiji period to the early Taisho period. is. Even though they are the same nebuta, the big difference from the nebuta in Aomori City is the “height”. Tachineputa stands at a maximum height of over 22 meters and weighs 16 tons, and a giant float equivalent to the height of a seven-story building is pulled along with the shouts of “Yattemare, yattemare!” , parades through the city.

Tsugaru Railway still has an old-fashioned passenger car that was manufactured in the 30s of the Showa era and has become rare in Japan. It was decided to operate a night train using this passenger car, which is used as the famous stove train in winter. After the Tachineputa performance, the group makes two round trips between Tsugaru Goshogawara and Tsugaru Nakazato, and ends at Tsugaru Goshogawara in the early morning. Please experience the nostalgic Showa night train on this night train, which is modeled after the “Tsugaru” express train that once connected Tokyo and Tsugaru.
