Representative Director Nozomi Kubota offers art NFTs created by himself “NFT fundraising campaign at Seven Bank ATM” from July 18, 2023 (Tuesday) It will be held on October 16, 2023 (Monday). When donations are made to the Seven-Eleven Memorial Foundation, which promotes nature conservation activities, through Seven Bank ATMs, digital art works created by Nozomu Kubota will be distributed as novelties. When we compared the amount donated on the first day of the campaign with the amount donated at ATMs during normal times, we found that the amount donated was more than 10 times higher. In addition, when we surveyed those who donated to this campaign, we found that 93% of the survey respondents did not know that they could donate from ATMs, and that 93% of the people in the process of getting art NFTs were natural. They answered that their awareness of environmental protection has increased. While cashless payments are making it difficult to collect donations from collection boxes next to cash registers, the collaboration between NFTs and ATMs is playing a role in promoting social contribution activities.

In previous fundraising activities, it was difficult to see how the money would be used. Seeing the artist’s work-making process gave me an opportunity to think about protecting the natural environment. Example of SNS transmission about natural environment protection: https://onl.bz/gNzQzhz

[Comment from Seven Bank]
I feel that we were able to connect the new digital technology of NFT to social contribution, and that a very new initiative was born. I think that many customers did not know that they could make donations from our ATMs. We believe that it has a strong affinity with NFT, which digitally records individual thoughts and actions, and functions as a symbol of participation in the fundraiser. We look forward to the spread of new forms of social contribution in the future through our ATMs and NFTs.
