Self Photo Studio ARISA Kyoto Station Store is a newly opened photo studio on June 30, 2023 where you can take professional-looking self-photos.
This “self-photo studio” is gradually gaining recognition among young people, but it is hardly known among seniors.
Seniors rarely have their own photo data, and when they suddenly need a photo, they often find it in an album and convert it into data in a hurry. Also, all that was left was a photo of her with a stiff expression! This is something I often hear.
For times like these, we would like you to take photos of your good expressions at the self-photo gallery, so we are running a free campaign to encourage you to use the self-photo gallery with your children and grandchildren on Respect for the Aged Day. We have decided to implement it.

What is “Self Photo Gallery”?
At self-photo studios, which originated in South Korea, at regular photo studios a photographer takes pictures, but at self-photo studios, customers can take photos themselves by pressing the remote control shutter at any time they like. Since it is a private room, you can make facial expressions and poses without worrying about being seen. The photos you take will be displayed on the monitor, so you can check them while taking photos. Photos taken can be sent on the spot using AirDrop on the iPhone, and customers can immediately upload them to SNS.
About Self Photo Studio ARISA Kyoto Station Store
The self-photo studio ARISA Kyoto Ekimae branch is located in a convenient location, a 1-minute walk from Kyoto Station.
In a private room equipped with professional-grade cameras and lighting, you can take professional-looking photos without worrying about being seen. You can take unlimited photos for 15 minutes (time extension possible). All photo data will be provided to you on the spot.
You can enjoy taking photos while posing with accessories such as bouquets and photo props against a simple white background.
The self-photo studio ARISA is operated by a kimono rental company, and we decided to launch the self-photo studio because we wanted our customers to be able to take more beautiful photos in a kimono more easily.
You can use it for any purpose you want, including not only to commemorate sightseeing in Kyoto, but also to take pictures before coming-of-age ceremonies, graduation ceremonies, Shichi-Go-San Festival, to commemorate birthdays, and for maternity photos. More details about this release:
