Since last year’s festival was held in multiple locations, this year’s music festival focused on art, food, and future technology content in Kira Kira Park, attracting about 19,000 people from young people to families. During the event period, a self-driving bus was operated on a trial basis from a nearby parking lot to the festival venue, allowing passengers to slowly move to the venue while enjoying the scenery.
At this event, Tomakomai City, which is working on zero carbon, will implement various measures in the country’s first “Regional
Co-Creation GX Program” initiative. The Community Co-Creation GX Program is a program in which everyone in the community learns and thinks about various exciting initiatives that utilize clean energy, including renewable hydrogen energy.
This time, part of the power for the stage is covered by hydrogen energy, and live performances and dance contests by artists will be held. At the venue, there was an exhibition of the hydrogen-powered fuel cell vehicle “MIRAI” manufactured in Hokkaido, and a
demonstration of cooking on a hydrogen stove that does not emit carbon dioxide.

The fact that there are no rules yet means that a new standard is about to be born.We are the ones who create the future, so we are working with the desire to leave something good for the next generation. I want it to be used in public transportation and transportation trucks first.” In the second half of the talk session, Seihiro Taniguchi from Shimizu Corporation, Daiki Nagoya from the Zero Carbon Promotion Bureau of the Hokkaido Government, and Kento Kurano from the Iburi General Promotion Bureau of Hokkaido joined the talk session to share with the visitors their expectations for the future development of Tomakomai, which promotes future energy. shared.
