An exhibition of works by Tomohiro Yasui, “Ichika Bachika One or Eight,” will be held at Art Gallery @btf in Kachidoki, Chuo-ku, Tokyo from October 4th (Wednesday).
Since childhood, he has been making “Kami-Robo” paper crafts using paper and wire, and has made over 600 of them. In addition to presenting his works, we will also be holding an exhibition of works by Tomohiro Yasui, who is currently active in a variety of fields including figure modeling and product planning.

In this solo exhibition, in addition to daily necessities heroes and stuffed animal works, I decided to try my hand at painting.
I thought that by expressing it through pictures, I could step into the more ambiguous realm of the “boundary line between
two-dimensional and three-dimensional objects,” which I have been pursuing for the past few years.
The first time you paint, you might not be able to do it well because you’re not used to it, but even if you fail, the damage won’t be that big of a deal, so it’s okay to just do whatever you want. That is my own theme this time…
Well, it’s a brutal world where there is no ambiguous kindness on the line between “ichi” and “dick”. Chikusho…I’m excited.
