Awkmiu presents LIVE TOUR “What’s in the box?” will be held in November! ……
They performed at “SUMMER SONIC 2023” in Osaka, and released a new song “Arrow” (ending theme for the TV anime “Atelier Ryza”) in August. Awkmiu is a band whose songs that contain contradictory essences are gaining acclaim both domestically and internationally.

Tickets for the event “Awkmiu presents LIVE “Gift Shop” held on September 16th (Saturday) to commemorate the release of his first EP “Arrow” sold out immediately. The event ended with a great success, featuring a new band, Aooo, as a guest. At the MC of the event, a tour to be held in November in two cities, Tokyo and Osaka, was announced. Tickets for Awkmiu’s first Tohan vs. band tour “Awkmiu presents LIVE TOUR “What’s in the box?” are now available in advance! The ban on guests will be lifted at a later date, so I’m looking forward to that as well.

Awkmiu is a 4-piece band consisting of Shiki (Vocal & Guitar), Aki (Keyboard), Kayakenko (Bass), and Yoneya Sekine (Drums).
We present the current status of “Solid Pops” with the solid sound created by the overlapping colors of each member and the world of Shiki’s lyrics that capture everyday life in a sharp and cinematic way. Despite the newness, there is a sense of fundamental nostalgia, and the songs contain conflicting essences such as boy and girl, danger and cleverness.
The band’s name is a coined word that is a combination of the English word awkward (awkward) and the French word mieux (better), and reflects the band’s desire to “deliver better music even though it’s clumsy.”
〇Shiki (Vocal & Guitar)
Born in Tokyo. Type B. Composed and wrote lyrics for Awkmiu. He has been active on stage since childhood and was influenced by stage music. My hobbies are reading and appreciating art. He creates artwork and jacket designs himself.
〇Aki (keyboard)
Born in New York. Type O. Started playing the piano at the age of 3. He is influenced by a wide range of music, from classical music to jazz, such as Rachmaninoff and Hiromi Uehara.
〇Kayakenkou (Base)
Born in Tokyo. Type A. After playing bass at his high school’s school festival, he became involved in band activities. His elusive character is like a younger brother in the band.
〇Yoneya Sekine (drums)
Born in Saitama Prefecture. Type A. The band is supported by reliable and challenging playing backed by experience, including support for Official Hige Dandism, SOMETIME’s, Yuinishio, Miku Ito, etc. ■Awkmiu SNS account
