We have recently released a special theme song, “Ransei the Survivor,” with voice actor Ryo Horikawa on vocals and rapper Ryofu Karma in rap.
Samurai Quindom is a Sengoku warlord-possessed girl band project that energizes Japan through “passionate message songs that reach people’s hearts”!
The story begins with the great beings “Yoyorozu Gods” observing the state of Japan, which is suffering from various problems and feeling tired, and lamenting that things are not going well the way they are. And in order to send their “haki” throughout Japan, these gods send the souls of military commanders who lived during the “Sengoku period” who dreamed of the future and had high aspirations to descend into girls who dream of becoming singers. Oops? ! A girl band possessed by Sengoku warlords will energize Japan through “passionate message songs that reach people’s hearts”!
In the band possessed by Oda Nobunaga, the girls said, “Believe in yourself without being bound by preconceptions!”, and in the band possessed by Tokugawa Ieyasu, “Even if you don’t see results right away, don’t rush until the time is right!”. He sings songs
reminiscent of the personalities and ways of thinking of Sengoku warlords.

This special theme song, “Ranse the Survivor,” is sung by a god who has decided to have a girl in a girl’s band possess a Sengoku warlord. The vocalist for the god is Ryo Horikawa, who also plays Vegeta from Dragon Ball and Heiji Hattori from Detective Conan. And as a support ambassador for this project, rapper Ryobu Karma, known for his “tolerance” raps that show mutual respect for others, will bring energy to Japan with a unique collaboration in the AC Japan
commercial!
To commemorate the release of this song, we conducted an interview with Ryo Horikawa and Karma Ryobu, who participated in this work. Please take this opportunity to introduce us to this project. Full interview below
――――Samurai Quindom is a music project that features characters, but please tell us your thoughts when we asked you honestly about this story project.
Ryo Horikawa (hereinafter referred to as Horikawa): I think this project started recently, but when I heard about this project, I was told that the spirit of a Sengoku warlord would be revived and possessed in modern times… it’s amazing content (lol) )! and. The content was something that had never been thought of before, and the idea was unique, and I thought, “Wow, that’s interesting!” Lu Bu Karma (hereinafter referred to as Lu Bu):
When I received the offer, I didn’t understand the setting at all… Even though I received detailed explanations from the record company people… well, I didn’t really understand. (lol)
Moreover, it’s not the military commander who possessed the girl.
—Please tell us about this project and the songs.
Lu Bu: I usually sing songs that I have written myself, so I have almost no experience singing songs written by others. In that sense, I accepted the offer partly because I thought it would be interesting to be involved in this project.
I’m in charge of the rap part, but the lyrics were more like a satire on modern society than about Sengoku warlords, so I thought it was surprising.
It was different from what I usually write, so I found it interesting in that sense.
It was interesting to hear things like, “If it were me, I wouldn’t choose these words,” or “If it were me, I wouldn’t be able to use those words.”
The temporary song I received had a completely different vibe than mine, so I thought, “I can’t continue doing it like this.” Horikawa: In my part, there’s a part where I keep calling out the names of warlords like, “Oda, Tokugawa, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah…” in my part, but I don’t think it has to be all that scary, or if it’s refreshingly overdone, it won’t make a difference…
It says “possessed”, and since it’s the spirit of a Sengoku warlord, well, I guess I was able to do it without ruining the atmosphere… ! I was so excited.
――This work is about a Sengoku warlord possessing a girl. Do you have a favorite Sengoku warlord or a military commander you are interested in?
Horikawa: If I had to choose one person…I would say Masamune Date. Although he survived, Hideyoshi used him to his advantage, and although he had a hard time, in the end he was able to spend the rest of his life the way he wanted. I think it’s good to be able to survive like that.
There are many tragic military commanders, but I feel that Date Masamune is the best in terms of his life style and the way he lived his life to the fullest.
Lu Bu: I’m not sure, but I think it’s Oda Nobunaga. Because it feels the most dramatic.
It’s easy to tell a story, it’s a good story, and the images are cool. I think it’s absurd, but it feels like it’s unrealistic, for better or for worse (lol).
――Finally, what kind of people do you want to listen to the theme song for this work, “Ranse the Survivor,” which you were in charge of? Horikawa: I think the theme of this song is “battle”. As the lyrics say, by comparing it to modern times, I think that not just
hand-to-hand combat or using weapons is a battle, but that everyday life itself is a battle.
It’s not a cheering song for the people who are working hard towards their dreams, and those who are doing their best, but it should be a message like “I’ll do my best too, so let’s all go!” I’m wondering if it’s okay.
Lubu: My activities are far away from things like idol culture and anime, so I don’t reach out to people who like listening to those kinds of things, so I simply want to reach out to those people. I want you to listen to it.
It’s difficult because I didn’t write it, so it’s not me, but I hope it will be an opportunity to touch people who haven’t been able to touch themselves before.

A feeling of malaise that things were not going well was hanging over Japan. Seeing such a situation, the great beings (Yoyorozu Gods) thought to themselves. It’s bad if it stays like this!
In order to make our dreams come true, we need to help people regain their “haki” spirit of moving forward!
This country needs “haki”…
That’s right, let’s reincarnate the soul of a Sengoku warlord who was full of “haki” in this turbulent world! !
In order to send courage throughout Japan, songs have been used to reach the hearts of people who have been depressed since ancient times…
So the soul of a Sengoku warlord descended into the singer girls! This girl and the Sengoku warlord…the singer who collaborated with these two personalities performed live activities in various places, Delivering “haki” to music of various genres. Before they knew it, these girls came to be called “Samurai Bars”.
And this year, the singing competition “Samurai Queendom” will finally be held to decide the top Samurai bar “Samurai Queen”! !
Who can bring the most Haki to Japan! ? You choose Samurai Queen! ! character

He mainly performs live acts at clubs in the Tohoku region, and in Samurai Quindom, he will discover the universe (that is, “the other side of the musical scale”)! and is burning with fighting spirit.
