Looking at the breakdown of those who answered “I can speak,” in descending order, 11.8% said “I can introduce myself,” 11.0% said “I can have daily conversations,” and 5.6% said “I can have conversations about things I am interested in.” Ta.
Among those who answered “I want to be able to speak,” 15.8% said “For hobbies,” 15.0% said “For travel,” and 6.6% said “For work.”

On the other hand, people in their 40s had the highest number of respondents who answered, “I want to be able to speak” at 46.0%. Among them, many people wanted to be able to speak “for traveling”, suggesting that their desire to learn may be increasing with an eye on how they will spend their time after retirement.

With the relaxation of entry restrictions from overseas, the number of foreign tourists is increasing day by day.
