“Scolab”, which is operated by Mined Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director and CEO: Tomohiro Maeda, hereinafter referred to as “Mined”), allows children to learn what they want to do through live classes, starting on September 30, 2023. On Saturday (Sat), we will be holding a free online event where hundreds of people can enjoy learning about science with Rikao Yanagida, the author of the best-selling book series “Junior Fantasy Science Reader” that examines anime and games, which has sold a total of 8.8 million copies. !

Welcome to the science learning festival that kids will love! Together with Mr. Rikao Yanagita, author of the best-selling book series “Junior Fantasy Science Reader” that examines anime and games, which has sold a total of 8.8 million copies, we will work with elementary and junior high school students from all over the country on the theme of anime and games that children love. We will be holding a free event where you can experience live interactive education! The themes we will be dealing with are two currently popular anime. [SPY×FAMILY] Isn’t Yoru too strong? [Chikawa] How difficult is the weeding test?
Even elementary school students can learn physics and science, which they learn in middle school and high school, in a fun and
easy-to-understand way!
At Scolab, we continually hold events like these that make learning fun. In about 7 months since the start of measurement, the number of monthly event applications for collaboration events has grown by 800%!

On August 6th, a math event was held by Mr. Takata, who is active on TV and Youtube, and more than 1,000 elementary and junior high school students applied. [Previous events]

Fantasy Science Festival Event Overview
■Date and time: Saturday, September 30, 2023, scheduled to start at 7:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m. (60 minutes)
■Target: Participation is free. Participants are only elementary school and junior high school students. In addition, it is limited to readers of “Junior Science Fiction Reader”. When applying, please enter the material written in your favorite junior science fiction reader. Parents can watch next to you. Classes are designed with students in 5th grade and above in mind. If you are a fourth grader or younger and can use a calculator to multiply and divide decimal numbers, you can enjoy this game without any problems. *Even if you don’t know the anime or game in question, don’t worry, we’ll provide a brief explanation at the beginning.
■Capacity: 500 people
■What you need to participate: A computer or tablet that can use Zoom (one that can make voice calls). Writing utensils, memo pads, calculators

Born in 1961 in Tanegashima, Kagoshima Prefecture. Dropped out of Science I at the University of Tokyo. After serving as a lecturer at various cram schools, he wrote the best-selling book “Science Science Reader,” which scientifically examines the world of manga and anime. The “Junior Science Fiction Reader” series, which has been published since 2013, is popular among elementary and junior high school students and is a staple in libraries and class library collections. He also serves as a part-time lecturer at Meiji University’s Faculty of Science and Engineering. Furthermore, Rikao is his real name. Nada Junior and Senior High School → University of Tokyo Science Class II → University of Tokyo Graduate School of Pharmacy. In 2020, co-founded “Slabo”, an inquiry learning platform for small group live classes for children, with Tomohiro Maeda in Japan. He is in charge of the voice of Rika-yan, a talking cat that is Rikao Yanagita’s pet cat. At Scolab, he teaches classes in chemistry, medicine, technology, etc. Born in 1995.
