Make a movie in 5 days! “Film production workshop”
Experience filmmaking from scriptwriting and acting to filming and editing! ……
Kyoto is the birthplace of Japanese cinema, and many films have been filmed in beautiful scenery. Set in Kyoto in autumn, let your imagination run wild and turn your ideas into visual form. Create a movie together with your friends. Would you like to experience the charm of film production too?
The NPO Kinderfilmfest Kyoto (Chairman: Anna Fujiwara) will be holding a “Film Production Workshop” for elementary school to high school students. In this workshop, we will invite two film directors and a member of a professional theater company as instructors, and we will create a movie over a total of five days set in Kyoto in autumn. This is a workshop where you can fully experience the roles required in actual film production, such as scriptwriting, acting, cinematography, and editing, as well as overcome the barriers of school and grade and meet people and things you would not encounter in daily life.

[You can learn this]
I would like to make a movie at least once. I want to experience what it’s like to make a movie.
I would like to actually write a script, shoot with a camera, and edit the footage.
Here is the perfect experience for you.
This is an experiential workshop where you can learn about the fun of film production by practicing the entire process of film production! In this workshop, participants will be divided into teams and create an original short film.
We will write a script based on the ideas we have submitted, choose a location, and create a schedule.
We plan to shoot at a location typical of Kyoto.
On the day of the shoot, participants received a lecture on how to use the equipment and rotated through each part, including director, cameraman, recording, and lighting.
The fun of making movies is the sense of accomplishment that comes from overcoming the constraints of time and space through teamwork. It is aimed at people who want to try making movies as a hobby, and students who want to use it as a reference for their future career paths.
