Koza MORI Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kushimoto-cho, Wakayama Prefecture) and NADJA Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kita-ku, Osaka-shi, Osaka Prefecture) have jointly established QUESTY Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kushimoto-cho, Wakayama Prefecture). We have developed an app called “QUESTY” that allows you to enjoy visiting tourist spots as if it were a game, and we have been conducting a demonstration experiment since September 4th in collaboration with the Nanki Kushimoto Tourism Association.
QUESTY (https://questy.one/) is a web application that incorporates RPG (role-playing game) elements into tourism. By visiting tourist spots as if it were a game, it is expected that tourists will be able to tour the town more actively than before and extend the length of time they stay between arrival and departure. Additionally, once a user registers, they become an “adventurer” and complete quests in other areas, which can lead to referrals between tourist destinations. By logging into QUESTY, tourists can take on various quests as an “adventurer.” Points are set for each quest depending on its difficulty level, and travelers are awarded points by clearing the quest. Earned points can be exchanged for various products at the tourism association counter.
Since 2020, the movement of people has stopped due to the
unprecedented new coronavirus, but it has finally picked up after about three years. Under these circumstances, it is expected that the use of QUESTY will increase the number of visitors and repeat visitors to local governments facing population decline, revitalizing the local economy, and other effects.
NHK will introduce QUESTY on “Gyugyutto Wakayama” on September 19th (Tuesday) and “Gurutto Kansai” on September 20th (Wednesday). More details about this release:
