After 2nd place, “Fuel efficiency” and “Design” followed, and “Loading capacity” came in 8th place.
1st place: Ride comfort
・I’m concerned about the cushioning properties and braking performance while driving. I’m also concerned about the condition of the seat, which makes it hard to get tired even when riding for long periods of time. (Female in her 30s)
・I have lower back pain and the ideal thing to do is to have a comfortable ride that doesn’t hurt my buttocks or lower back when I go on long trips from place to place. (Female in her 40s)
・You can check driving performance, fuel efficiency, design, etc. through photos and data, so you don’t read reviews in the first place. However, ride comfort can only be understood by those who have actually ridden it, so reviews are based on ride comfort. I will use it as a reference. (Male in his 30s)
1st place was “Ride Comfort”.
Many people like to read reviews to find out whether they will feel uncomfortable even after riding for long periods of time, and check various details such as cushioning, brake application, etc.
2nd place: Fuel efficiency
・Recently, gas prices have been rising rapidly, so I always check reviews to get a bike that is as fuel efficient as possible. (Male in his 30s)
– Personally, I view a motorcycle as a means of transportation, so I place emphasis on running costs and want to keep costs as low as possible. (Male in his 30s)
・As the price of gasoline is gradually rising, the most important thing for me personally is how good the fuel efficiency is. (Female in her 30s)
The second place is “fuel efficiency”.
There were many opinions that gasoline prices were high and running costs were a concern.
3rd place: Design
・Since I don’t know much about bike specs, it’s easy to notice how cool it looks, so I’ll refer to the design. (Male in his 20s) ・I would rather ride a bike that I like the look and design of than a bike that is convenient and easy to use. Just riding your favorite bike will get you excited. (Female in her 30s)
・I ride a motorcycle myself, and when purchasing a motorcycle, the biggest deciding factor was the design. It’s best if it’s cool. (Male in his 20s)
4th place: Safety
・When riding a motorcycle, I think that ease of riding is of course important, but my first priority is not to cause an accident or get involved, so I place the highest priority on safety. (Female in her 30s)
・Safety comes first. No matter how good the design or performance is, if it’s dangerous to ride, I’m too scared to ride it, and I want to enjoy it with peace of mind. (Female in her 20s)
・Motorcycles are vehicles that often cause accidents, so I want to put safety first, and if I end up in danger, I won’t be able to help. (Female in her 30s)
5th place: Driving performance
・For me, the performance when actually riding is important, and I think that the information on this based on the opinions of those who have actually ridden the bike is the most helpful in understanding the performance of the bike. (Female in her 50s and up)
・I’m a motorcycle enthusiast with 30 years of experience. There are people who enjoy polishing their bikes, but the bikes are in good shape so the running performance is fine. (Male over 50s)
・You can understand the design by looking at photos or seeing the real thing, and everyone has their own preferences, so I’m more concerned about the actual driving performance in reviews. (Male in his 30s) 6th place: Functionality
– Make a judgment based on the installed functions. Bikes and kickboards that can be charged using household electrical outlets have recently been attracting attention. (Female in her 20s)
・I am most concerned about the functional specifications of the bike. It is difficult to maintain a malfunction by yourself, so I pay close attention to the functions and investigate them. (Female in her 50s and up)
・Refer to the experiences of people who have actually ridden the car to see if there are many points that need to be taken care of after purchase, such as whether there are frequently occurring defects or past recalls. (Male in his 30s)
7th place: Price
The most important thing is to make sure the price is within your budget. We want to satisfy these requirements before deciding on driving performance, design, etc. (Female in her 30s)
・In my family, I don’t ride, but my husband rides, so from a housewife’s perspective, I’m most concerned about the price. I want you to get something cheap and good. (Female in her 20s)
・I usually use a car to go to work, so I bought a motorcycle six months ago as a hobby. Since my budget was within the scope of my hobby, I thought it would be nice to be able to ride one, so I looked for one that was within my budget, looking for looks and ride comfort, and focusing on price. (Male in his 30s)
8th place: Loading capacity
・I’m riding a big scooter, but I don’t think it’s practical if it doesn’t fit two helmets or, surprisingly, luggage, so I’ll take into account the load capacity and how to store it. (Male in his 40s) ・There are standards for functionality and performance depending on the engine displacement, so if the bike body does not have the capacity to carry a load, there is a genuine rack or frame extension, or compatible parts provide stability. (Male, 30s)
It came in 8th place in terms of load capacity.
Many people are concerned about whether they can properly carry their helmets and luggage, and whether there is enough room for
customization.
summary
When we surveyed 100 people, 24.0% of them answered “comfortable ride.” In addition, there were many opinions regarding the reasons why they answered, such as whether the ride is comfortable even after long periods of riding, and how the cushioning and braking characteristics are.
When it comes to riding a bike, many people want to read reviews from people who have actually ridden the bike about the ride quality. Why not use this as a reference when choosing a bike?
