In order to convey the deliciousness of Taiwanese organic products to people in Japan, we will hold the “Taiwan Organic Fair Together, Organic Day”, which was popular last year, in 2023. This year, 19 Taiwanese organic products that have newly acquired Japan’s organic JAS standards will be arriving in Japan. This time, we will hold the “Taiwan Organic Fair” at two venues in Tokyo and Osaka, and will work to introduce more organic products to Japanese customers.

This event will be split into Tokyo and Osaka, with the first event being held at the Shin-Yurakucho Building in Tokyo from September 17th to September 25th, and the second event being held at Abeno, Osaka from September 27th to October 8th. It will be held at Harukas Kintetsu Main Store. This event is sponsored by the Agricultural Food Bureau of the Ministry of Agriculture (equivalent to Japan’s Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries), and we are actively promoting our products to the Japanese market in particular. Additionally, this year, 10 organic producers recognized as being equivalent to Japanese standards will gather to carry out a large-scale promotion of Taiwanese organic products.
Last year’s promotional event only included tastings and no product sales, but this time you will be able to purchase all products at the venue after experiencing the tastings. At the Tokyo venue, a Japanese chef will be specially invited to give a lecture on cooking methods using Taiwanese organic products and Japanese ingredients. We hope you will deepen your understanding of Taiwanese organic products by tasting the deliciousness that is a fusion of Taiwanese organic products and Japanese cuisine through the chef’s limited-time special menu (including on-site dining and takeout). .

There are a wide variety of products on display, including Taiwan’s organic alpine oolong tea, which is well known in the international tea industry, GABA oolong tea, which is rich in GABA and is said to have a relaxing effect, Taiwan’s specialty organic black tea, and Taiwan’s specialty organic black tea. We respond to the needs of tea lovers with a diverse lineup, including a series of floral teas such as roselle (Rakushinka), which is a popular eastern specialty hibiscus tea, and golden chrysanthemum. Taiwan’s organic products comply with strict standards set by law, and despite the limited land and densely populated production environment, we maintain high quality natural production and have achieved organic certification. In 2020, Japan and Taiwan completed an agreement on organic food equivalence, and it was officially recognized that Taiwanese organic products could be labeled as “organic” and exported to Japan. We are actively promoting overseas expansion in the hope that Japanese consumers and industry experts will recognize and expand Taiwan’s organic products. We hope that by allowing consumers to experience Taiwan’s organic products through the actual event, exports to the Japanese market will increase.
