This year, the Tsuruga International Symposium 2023 – Next Generation will be held from November 2nd (Thursday) to November 3rd
(Friday/Holiday), sponsored by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, in order to make the Tsuruga area a stepping stone for future nuclear research and human resource development. “Trends and Future Outlook for Innovative Reactor Development” (free to attend) will be held in Tsuruga City, Fukui Prefecture (Wakasa Bay Energy Research Center). Prior to the symposium, we will hold a study session to learn the basics of “next generation innovative reactor development,” which is currently being actively discussed both domestically and internationally.

Every year, we hold an international symposium in the field of nuclear power so that the Tsuruga area becomes a stepping stone for future nuclear research and human resource development. This year’s theme is “Development of Next-Generation Innovative Reactors,” which is currently being actively discussed both domestically and
internationally, and we will provide an easy-to-understand overview of next-generation innovative reactors and the status of discussions both domestically and internationally.
Prior to the symposium, at the study session, participants will learn about the basic knowledge of “next-generation innovative reactor development,” which is currently being actively discussed both domestically and internationally.
